Podo Hotel (포도호텔)

Podo Hotel, an artistic masterpiece by world-renowned architect Itami Jun and selected as one of Jeju's seven most beautiful buildings, operates with 26 guest rooms. Inspired by Jeju's volcanic cones (oreum) and thatched-roof houses, it is named Podo Hotel because it resembles a bunch of grapes when viewed from above. The guest rooms are divided into Korean-style and Western-style rooms. In particular, the Korean-style rooms feature visible ceiling rafters that evoke a sense of Korean tradition. Furthermore, all windows are lattice-patterned windows covered with Hanji (traditional Korean paper), and the walls and floors were constructed using red clay and finished with Hanji coated in soybean oil, following the traditional construction method. The Western-style rooms take advantage of the single-story layout to feature high ceilings, creating a sense of spaciousness, and the interior is constructed with solid cherry wood, offering a vibrant array of colors.

In addition, the aragonite hot spring water supplied to all guest rooms is natural deep high-temperature water at 42 degrees, providing relaxation and rest amidst nature. The architectural art guide operated by the hotel is a program exclusively for guests, and it is recommended for those who wish to appreciate the design philosophy of architect Itami Jun.
