Cheongsong Eoreumgol Valley [National Geopark] (청송 얼음골 (청송 국가지질공원))

Cheongsong Eoreumgol Valley is home to a unique meteorological phenomenon where warm winds blow during the winter and cold winds during the summer. The cliff sides are made of piles of tuff rock, creating scree slopes. At the bottom of the scree slope, cold, humid air exits outward and meets warm, dry air; as the moisture in the air evaporates, the temperature drops, forming the Eoreumgol Valley. Additionally, the fact that the slopes of the Eoreumgol Valley face north, thus blocking sunlight, also plays a significant role in its formation.
